Whether you've never, ever applied a decal before or are an old pro, NickerStickers go on smooth and easy and stick very well.

Before you start, WASH THE SURFACE!
Don't Use Window Cleaner!

We recommend you use plain old soap and water, 1/3 cup soap to 1 cup water. If there is any wax build up, use a scrubby. Finish with a lint free cloth to dry. You can add additional touch of extra cleaning with rubbing alcohol, mixed half and half with water. But soap and water is usually good enough.

Step 1. Peel the transfer tape with the decal stuck to it away from the waxy backing paper. The adhesive side of your decal is now exposed. Be careful! Don't get it dirty and don't touch it with your fingers. Use the clear transfer tape to hold because you'll be taking that off later anyway.

Step 2. Using the transfer tape, roll your decal on to the surface to which you are applying, starting at one corner and laying it down. Once it is on the surface, rub on top of the clear transfer tape and decal using a credit card and working from the center out. Press lightly at first, then repeat more firmly. Repeat several times.

Step 3. REMOVE THE TRANSFER TAPE. The decal is under the transfer tape. Pull the transfer tape up at a sharp angle beginning at one corner. Remove the clear tape on top of the decal and throw it away. Your decal should easily stick to the surface while you are pulling up the transfer tape. If it's not sticking solid, try leaving it on overnight and taking it off the next day.

The Cairn Terrier is one of the oldest of the terrier breeds, originating in the Scottish Highlands and recognized as one of Scotland's earliest working dogs. The breed is commonly used for hunting and burrowing prey among the cairns.

The Cairn Terrier has a harsh weather-resistant outer coat that can be pink, blue, wheaten, red, sandy, gray, or brindled in any of these colours. Cairn Terriers shed very little but should always be hand stripped. Using scissors or shears can ruin the dog's rugged outer coat after one grooming. Hand stripping involves pulling the old dead hair out by the roots. If done incorrectly this can cause discomfort to the dog, causing it to shy away from future hand stripping. Removing the dead hair in this manner allows new growth to come in. This new growth helps protect the dog from water and dirt.

Cairn Terrier ancestors are from Scotland, where the wire coat repels water and keeps the dog dry even in rainy or damp climates. Keeping the Cairn Terrier coat in its original state will prevent possible skin irritations. As dead hair is removed by stripping the coat, new growth comes in and the skin and coat will remain healthy. Clipper-cutting a Cairn might destroy the protective wire coat unique to this breed.


Cairns are active dogs, and thus will need a daily walk. Play will take care of a lot of their exercise needs; however, as with all breeds, play will not fulfill their primal instinct to walk. Dogs who do not get to go on daily walks are more likely to display behavior problems. They will also enjoy a good romp in a safe open area off leash, such as a large fenced in yard. Cairn Terriers are generally healthy and live on average about 12 to 17 years.

The most famous of the Cairn Terrier is "Toto" from the "Wizard of Oz". Toto was played by a female brindle Cairn Terrier whose real name was Terry. She was paid a $125 salary each week, which was far more than many of the human actors (the Singer Midgets who played the Munchkins reportedly received $50 to $100 a week).
